I wasn’t exactly craving chocolate when I made this. I was taking care of my two-year-old niece and I needed some way to distract her and make her stay still because she kept moving around and climbing on chairs. My solution: make an easy chocolate cake that involves very little preparation and ingredients.
Since my two-year-old niece helped me prepare this, I wasn’t able to take as many pictures of the process (booyah for my laziness).
Usually, people just mix this in a mug; I was afraid it might overflow so I used a plastic container instead.

What’s the taste like?
I don’t have a good experience with microwaveable cakes. I already tried this once (a different recipe) a few years ago. I forgot what I made, but I just remember it not tasting good. I also didn’t like the texture.
I was already expecting this to taste bad to be honest. I was just making this for the fun of it. Surprisingly, it tasted decent and the texture was good. My sister and my niece both liked it. They had a forkful (do you eat cake with a fork or spoon?) of the cake as soon as I finished making it.
Baking Life Lesson
Be spontaneous. Why? There are times when you just need to do the first thing that pops up in your mind without thinking of why you shouldn’t do it because it’s fun.
What about the consequences? Worry about them later. That may not seem like the best advice but my example here is making a microwaveable cake 😄
Try to do fun things that won’t hurt other people.
And find someone to share this experience with. I think that’s the most important.
